Dotangle Privacy Policy

Scope and developer

This policy applies to the native Dotangle iPad app developed by Çağlar Ergül. Last updated: October 8, 2026. It does not cover the separate web/Capacitor version or the independent practices of the service hosting this page.

Data use in the app

Dotangle does not send personal data from the app to the developer or third parties. It has no account registration, sign-in, advertisements, advertising identifiers, tracking, third-party analytics SDKs, or online matchmaking. The game works without an internet connection.

Player names and match information

Player names, colors, symbols, lines, and scores are processed only in memory on the iPad for the current game session. They are not transmitted to the developer or stored on developer servers. There is no persistent match history, cloud backup, or cross-device synchronization. The current match state is lost when the app process ends; simply putting the app in the background does not always end the session.

Device permissions

Dotangle does not request access to the camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, or location. Drawing and snapping sounds are generated on the device; no microphone recording takes place. Haptic feedback on supported hardware does not send personal data.

Apple services

App Store and TestFlight distribution, and Apple’s diagnostics and feedback services, are subject to Apple’s own settings and privacy policies. Feedback or diagnostics shared through TestFlight or optionally through Apple may be made available to the developer. This is separate from adding a third-party tracking or analytics system to the app.

Voluntary support communications

If you contact us by email, your email address, message, and information you choose to provide, such as screenshots, are used to respond to your support request. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information. Support communications are not used for advertising or tracking and are retained only as needed to handle the request and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. This is not automatic data collection by the app.

Children and local play

The app does not ask any player for an account or personal profile and does not collect personal data from children in the app. You can use a nickname instead of a real name in the player name field.

Requests and changes

You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you voluntarily shared with support using the contact below. If the app’s data practices change, this policy and the relevant App Store privacy disclosures will be updated.
